In general, the evaluation of coins is done on the basis of rarity and state of preservation. These are the 2 most important factors. The states of conservation vary between BC, MBC, Bela, Soberba and FDC, being Soberba and FDC the rarest states and, for this reason, the most valuable.

In order to correctly evaluate a coin it is essential to verify that it has no signs of circulation (wear), that it is not counterfeit and that it has not been jeweled (which completely devalues the coin). Filmoedas makes the evaluation of coin collections free of charge. For this, those interested should submit their photos in the contact area of our site or visit us in our store. The evaluation is done on the spot and, if you are interested, we can make you an offer to buy.

There are currently 2 companies with this service: NGC and PCGS.

This certification implies a significant investment, but in addition to the certificate, it guarantees the preservation of the coin since the certification service includes preservation in an airtight box, avoiding wear and tear, even by air.
